Nokia and the University of Cambridge have designed a futuristic mobile electronic device called Morph that uses nanotechnology to deliver transparent electronics, self-cleaning surfaces, and the malleability to seamlessly transform into multiple different configurations. The unit is part of the MoMA "Design and the Elastic Mind" exhibition, on view from February 24 to May 12, 2008, at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. Though the technology envisioned for this phone has not yet been implemented, according to Nokia "elements of Morph might be available to integrate into handheld devices within 7 years, though initially only at the high-end." These projections match well with the technological expectations of Singapore's Intelligent Nation 2015 program. Source - Engadget |
