Honda stunned the world in December of 1996 with the debut of the P2, the world?s first self-regulating two-legged humanoid walking robot. Its torso contains a computer, motor drives, the battery, a wireless radio and other necessary devices, which allow for wireless control. The P2 is capable of independent walking, walking up and down stairs, and cart pushing, all of which were achieved without wires, allowing independent operation.
