This is the first installment of a six part documentary series by Adam Curtis titled Pandora's Box. It shows the Soviet Unions early attempts to use science and technology to create a new utopian state and the difficulties that emerged as a result of over planning. The circumstances fueling the formation of the original Communist state are not unlike those expected to emerge as a result of the upcoming "technological singularity." |
